Some things in life are weird. Our parents spend so much time when we are kids telling us that monsters aren’t real and they don’t exist. That these huge horrible monsters will never bother us and we shouldn’t be afraid. The truth is we should be afraid of monsters, very very scared because monsters aren’t just real, they’re coming for you. Monsters don’t exist anywhere but inside of people. Monsters are created by people, monsters ARE people. Those people who are downright mean for no reason. They are monsters. And we are all responsible for these monsters. We are responsible for the creation of these monsters because of the actions that we have taken together as a whole. We as a people have adopted an attitude of meanness and bitterness… We are the creators of these monsters. Not everyone in society is a monster though, for every light there is a dark, for everything in life is in a balance. And monsters are no exception, for every horrible monster living inside of someone, there is a great shining light inside of another person. They are a beam of light ready to defeat these monsters and send them away, but they won’t…they can’t. We as a people have created and protected these monsters. The monsters are feed by attention and kept alive with reciprocated actions. They are kept alive when we react to a bitter person with rudeness or meanness. We fuel the beasts within people. I just think that my parents shouldn’t have spent my childhood telling me there are no monsters. I wish they had told me that the monsters are very real and you need to protect yourself from them. Don’t fuel the monster, don’t protect the monster from a shining beam of light with the capacity to destroy the monster. Protect yourself from becoming a monster.
